In an effort to help this both our members and our advisor , we have developed a point system! The point system was created to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. Points are how we keep track of our member activity.
Members are responsible for obtaining and documenting accumulated points. Why? Student Council requires members to earn points to be eligible for outstanding leadership awards and senior graduation cords. How to Earn Points? Points can be earned by being an active participant in school activities. You can earn points as easy as going to football games to attending spirit nights!
How many points do I need? Graduation Cords: In order to be applicable for a cord for graduation, there is a minimum requirement of 500 points that may be accumulated over your high school career. Award "Letterman" Letters: Letters are applicable to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. The requirement for a Letter is to accumulate a minimum of 700 points within the academic school year. You may begin to earn points this year starting June 28, 2023. Members must obtain 350 points yearly after receiving a letter; This will make them eligible to receive a "bar" for each school year. StuCo Member of the Month: We will host monthly competitions to see who can obtain the most points throughout that certain month. Members may begin accumulating points on the first day of that month. The member of the month will get Chapin goodies and other incentives at our general meetings, which will be held near the end of every month. |
